This city looks like an Aegean island. It is undoubtedly the most picturesque village in northern Evia, with narrow streets, traditional houses and a pine forest. Limni is a city built amphitheatrically, near ancient Elymnion where, based on Sophocles, Zeus and Hera first met. Most residents of Limni are of Aegean origin because back in the 16th century many Aegean captains moved to this area. The coastal zone of Limni is quite popular with tourists and locals with many cafes and restaurants with a view of the Evian Gulf and the green hillside of the city. In recent years, tourism development in the region but the city still retains its traditional characteristics.
