At Pigadia location you will find the three buildings of Eparheio. They are typical structures of the Italian occupation era and were built during the period of1926-1936. They were the Italian headquarters and it seems that similar buildings were built on every island of the Dodecanese. Nowadays they belong to the Greek State.
They are categorized as buildings with "International Style” characteristics combined with elements of "Oriental Eclecticism". The three buildings form a Π shape. The main building is taller than the rest (4 floors) and the other two (2 floors) are the same. All three buildings are connected with semi-open spaces and arches.
The complex was declared a historical landmark in 1997. The archaeological museum of the island is housed in the west wing of houses.
