This is a beautiful beach facing towards Delos, the Cape of Aleomantra, and the canal of Mykonos and Delos. Also, the well-known festival of Agios Ioannis takes place there towards the end of September every year. The beach is covered in soft and golden sand and it is ideal for those who love relaxation and tranquility. The place is organized but there are no water sport facilities.
You can reach the beach by following the road to Ornos and then turning west. One of the characteristics of this route is the view of Delos but also two “trademarks” of the place: A large mulberry tree on the left of the road and some prickly pear plants on the right. Agios Ioannis is the last spacious and organized beach you meet on the southern part of the island. It is 3.4 kilometers far from Hora of Mykonos and there are buses going there regularly.
